Criminal Law: Ian Till

Ian TillIan Till is a former pupil of Maricourt High School, Sefton. After leaving school Ian graduated from Lanchester University in Coventry after obtaining an Economics Degree. He joined the practice of Dooley & Co in Knowsley in 1991, during which time he obtained the Police Station Accreditation, which he has held since 1996. He then attended the College of Law and completed the Common Professional Examination Course before attending at John Moores University to complete the Legal Practice Course, completing that Course in June 2000.

From 1991 through to 2000 Ian was involved predominantly in the criminal practice within that firm, during which he was involved in representing clients at all stages of criminal procedure, including initially at Police Stations and the Crown Court.

Ian was Dooley & Company’s representative at Newcastle Crown Court and was involved in successfully defending Curtis Warren in the largest drug importation case this country had seen at that stage.

In 2000 Ian joined the practice of Quinn Melville, working initially at the Knowsley Office headed up by Paul Mullin, dealing exclusively in criminal work. During this period Ian was under Training Contract and completed that at the Liverpool Office, qualifying in late 2002.

Ian continues to advise clients exclusively in relation to criminal defence practice and has been involved in a number of high profile cases, ranging from murder, large scale corruption and in relation to prosecutions brought by Customs & Excise and dealings in relation to investigations involving various Police Forces, including Merseyside, Northumbria, Greater Manchester and North Wales Major Crime Unit.
