Zoe Gascoyne, Partner in Quinn Melville has been quoted (13 April 2015) in The Law Society Gazette. The Gazette is the professional journal of Solicitors in England & Wales.
Zoe was quoted in a front page leading article on the current tender process for Legal Aid. The current proposals are a radical reshaping of the criminal Legal Aid system.
Zoe said that she was aware that many firms had ruled out bidding for 2015 duty provider crime contracts. She added that the cost of trying to put forward a sustainable model upon which to base the bid (for a 2015 duty provider contract) plus the costs of the tender itself in terms of instructing accountants had played a significant part in firms not tendering.
Quinn Melville remains committed to providing the best service possible to it’s clients and is tendering for a duty provider contract.
