Ian is an experienced and dedicated solicitor with a forensic eye for detail. Ian has a degree in economics making him an expert in cases with a financial aspect.
Specialising in criminal advocacy and advisory work Ian has a formidable reputation which extends nationally. Ian has a meticulous approach to his cases and leaves no stone unturned when preparing even the most complex matters.
Ian is most at home dealing with serious and complex fraud including excise and revenue. He has extensive experience of VHCC cases and is adept at dealing with all aspects of murder and manslaughter. Ian’s career has also provided him with vast experience of cases involving serious violence, drugs and serious sexual offences.
Ian is regularly instructed in cases involving Proceeds of Crime, a complicated and specialist area of law. He is accustomed to advising clients in relation to both restraint and enforcement.
Ian likes to be involved in each case at an early stage and often represent clients from the police station onwards. Ian is able to adopt a team approach and is hands on with all cases even where a barrister is in place.
