Lionel joined Quinn Melville in 1993, studied law at Liverpool and completed his legal practice course at Liverpool John Moores University. He qualified in 2007 and became a Partner in 2008.

Lionel is a highly experienced Criminal Defence Lawyer. He is a member of the Liverpool Duty Solicitor scheme. Lionel is a Practising Higher Court Advocate in criminal proceedings which enables him to assist and represent clients from first interview at the police station to trial at the Crown Court. Lionel represents clients on a national basis specialising in serious crime, complex fraud, murder, drugs conspiracies, blackmail and violent crimes. Lionel’s workload also includes the ever-changing legislation relating to The Proceeds of Crime Act.
